Desta PLC is proud to announce that our Butajira factory was audited by Better Work ILO, initiated in Ethiopia, and has achieved a good result. 

Better Work is a comprehensive program that brings together all levels of the apparel industry to improve working conditions and respect labor rights for workers while boosting the competitiveness of apparel businesses. The program also aims to lift industrial productivity and competitiveness to enable a global competitive textile and garment sector and encourage accountable and transparent government institutions.

Desta PLC was one of the pilot companies in Ethiopia that Better Work ILO, audited. It is to be recalled that the Desta PLC Addis Ababa factory was previously audited and achieved good results.

This is the first time that our Butajira factory was audited by an international organization. We are looking forward to more audits in the coming months.
