As DESTA PLC is a family-run garment factory in Ethiopia, it is responsible for its employees and the local community. On the beginning of this year it provided socio-economic support to Butajira and the community.

Desta donated medical supplies to Butajira General Hospital. Fourteen (14) beds, three (3) inpatient beds, and one (1) electrical delivery were imported from Germany with a total value of one million Ethiopian Birr.

At the time of receiving the support, the Butajira General Hospital Manager explained that the hospital serves more than 1.5 million patients and that he is very appreciative of the support by Desta Plc.

Butajira City Deputy Mayor, Head of the Finance and Economic Development Office, Abdurahman Andgebay, who was present at the event, said Desta Plc is actively involved in the city’s support and development activities.

We hope the donation of medical equipment is of great benefit to the institution in the field of medicine.

In related news, Butajira City Administration had rewarded Desta PLC for its outstanding contribution for the fight against Coronavirus. Desta donated 150,000 Ethiopian Birr and various items, including face masks.
